LGA Litigation Strategists' Jury Scan is an electronic monitoring system designed to track jurors' moment to moment reaction to witnesses and presentations by counsel. The results are displayed in graphic form as the presentations are made.
As the jurors register their reactions by dialing a handheld monitor, a computer interprets the results and creates a graph illustrating their reaction to what they are hearing.
Analyses of the differences in response among and between various demographic groups can aid in de-selection of jurors during voir dire. This technique for collecting data is highly flexible. It can be used in addition to traditional surveys or focus groups and can stand alone as a powerful research tool capable of collecting high quality data quickly and easily.
After the exercise, LGA Litigation Strategists' consultants analyze jurors' reactions to specific words, phrases and arguments and suggest ways to improve both the form and content of the presentations.
