Although we typically use more formal methods, such as a Deliberation Analysis, focus group discussions can be very useful, especially in the early stages of the development of case themes and in zeroing in on specific issue areas of interest.
There are various ways of setting up and conducting focus groups. Sometimes, for example, we develop a limited stimulus to help focus the jury; other times we simply begin with questions. Exactly what we do depends on the nature of the case and your goals. Our consultants work with you to understand your goals and then focus several groups of jury eligible individuals in your venue to help achieve them. Our consultants maximize the value of these discussions with their strong group leadership ability and creative analytic skills.
The themes and strategic recommendations that result from our focus group work are then woven into summary presentations of your case to be tested in either a Deliberation Analysis or a Trial Simulation.
